At a time when climate change, water temperatures, water management, in-stream flows, invasive species and fishing pressure are all having compounding negative effects on many of the West's wild trout fisheries, the Fine Spotted Snake River Cutthroat Trout and the upper Snake River fishery is relatively healthy thanks to fortuitous geographical factors and passionate human efforts. “Iconic Rises” is a short film that will convey the reverence the local fly fishing community has for these trout and this fishery, celebrate the successful conservation and preservation work of many non-profit organizations, including One Fly, while also communicating the need to avoid complacency by proactively addressing some of the fisheries looming threats.
