Every September in Jackson Hole, Wyoming 40 teams put their skills to the test- fishing two days, each with a single fly, with team and individual scores determined by the quantity and length of fish caught. The Jackson Hole One Fly Event uses monies raised to fund conservation, habitat preservation and rehabilitation projects, along with stewardship education for the benefit of trout populations primarily in the Snake River Basin and the headwaters in Yellowstone Park.
Rules
The Jackson Hole One Fly entrusts the anglers to adhere to the utmost in honesty and integrity. The Jackson Hole One Fly is a self-policing event. Each angler is responsible for participating in accordance with these rules and is expected to acknowledge and self-report any of his or her violation of them.
Sponsorship
Sponsor Teams make important contributions to our Mission and pay higher entrance fees (almost twice the rate paid by a regular team). The Sponsor Team is often a corporation, but can be an individual sponsor or a team of like-minded generous individuals. There are a limited number of Sponsor Teams, currently 7 out of the 40 team total, allowed for the annual event.
